The Need for Linux
Linux is an operating system that is available on the Internet free of charge. It is called “Linux” because it’sCopyright (c) the Linux Project. Linux is a program, but is kept up to date so that all of the versions are kept up to date and working. It is a free operating system, meaning you are not required to pay for it.
Actually, “Linux” is an operating system and part of the word-process set, but it is not part of the word-process set I’m talking about. Linux is part of the computer language, the operating system, the command-line interface that allows you to communicate with your computer. In this sense, you do not need a full blown operating system to be able to use Linux. In fact, the operating systems can all run from the same basic set of commands. The operating systems install different packages and run them on different computers.

There are many flavors or types of Linux. Linspire is one and misspelled “SELECT” is another. Informac is a more difficult one as far as describing it is concerned. You need to learn the appropriate terms of each.

shareware or Freeware – Although shareware or freeware software is not technically a computer application, it is commonly grouped with computer applications because they all use computer programs to install and run. Examples include the Microsoft Office suite, the Skype application, the Mozilla Firefox web browser, and Sunbird email add on package.
There are pros and cons to using shareware or freeware software. And if you want to get rid of shareware, there are plenty of ways you can do this also.
It is possible to do this without Windows if the shareware is Windows only. This is where Linux comes in handy. All you would have to do is buy a Linux distribution (an operating system), and a few other programs to go with it, and you are away.
Be aware that there are people who write shareware so that they can sell it to you for a profit. You do need to understand that shareware is not a real recording or presentation of an application or program. It is usually quick and dirty software written to give you a demo of the capability of the program, or to give you an impression that you can use the program.
hareware is often associated with the so called “Freeware” software movement. These are software programs that are free to use or download, usually with limited options, and are considered “peer-to-peer” software.
Who Would use Shareware Software?
